More than 1300 people have signed James Heappey MP's petition pushing First Bus, North Somerset Council and Somerset Council to save the 126 bus, which is at risk.
Mr Heappey said: "The number of signatures we have secured in a short space of time illustrates the strength of feeling about this service. I know it is a lifeline to many - especially its connection to the smaller villages across the Cheddar Valley.
"I will be continuing to press for a commitment to ensuring this bus route remains."
