The FitCheddar HealthFest and Flu Cafe took place in Cheddar Village Hall on Saturday, “which was organised by the hugely talented Cheddar Patient Group” said Mr Heappey. The morning included 20 stallholders from a range of health and wellbeing charities, community groups and health services. “Our area faces challenges as an ageing population needs to be looked after within a rural setting,” said Mr Heappey.
“Health Fests like today are a great idea and it has clearly been valued by the exhibitors as well as those attending. I hope it can be repeated by communities elsewhere in the patch.”
“I warmly congratulate John Pimlott, Elizabeth Herridge, and the whole CPG team for all their hard work.”
John Pimlott, Chair of Cheddar Patient Group, added: “There was a tremendous buzz and energy at the event, and with 200 people coming through the door this was an excellent opportunity to connect patients to local health services and providers.”
