Shepton Mallet MP James Heappey visited Whitstone School in the town, to receive an update on how things were going, and hearing all about improvements made, despite the challenges of the pandemic.
In an hour-long conversation, Mr Heappey and Mr Swallow discussed measures put in place for students who have exams, the return to school following lockdown, as well as plans for the future of the school.
Mr Heappey said: "I am so pleased to see Whitstone go from strength to strength after what has been a trying time for all schools. I look forward to working with Guy to see how we can get Government to support the school achieve even greater things than their excellent day-to-day running and exam results."
