Burnham-on-Sea MP James Heappey has congratulated Frith House, in Steart Drive, after it received an outstanding rating from the health watchdog Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The home cares for 83 people and specialises in helping those with dementia.
The Secretary Of State For Health, Jeremy Hunt, has sent a letter of congratulations to the home, and Mr Heappey has joined him in expressing his delight at the result.
He said: “This outstanding report from the CQC underlines the amazing work at Frith House to support those who are living with dementia.
“I congratulate all of the staff on their hard work. These results do not happen by accident and they should feel very proud of their achievement.”
