James attended Westminster Flu Day in Parliament to encourage those at risk to get this season’s flu vaccine. Having made a donation to the Carers Trust James was offered a seasonal flu vaccination himself.
James said, “The best way to protect against the flu is to go and get the vaccine. I urge everyone who is entitled to a free flu vaccine to visit their GP or pharmacist”.
The Royal College of Nursing stressed how important it is that people in certain groups, such as those who are pregnant, under 7 or over 65, or who suffer from serious health conditions to get the flu vaccine as there are significantly increased health issues as a result of them getting flu.
