As the deadline approaches, Burnham and Highbridge MP James Heappey has called on people to vote for Apex Park in the Fields in Trust awards.
It has been nominated for Best Park for the second year running and Mr Heappey met with councillors and members of the Friends of Apex Park to encourage people to vote, ahead of the closing date later this week.
The hashtag #LoveYourLocalPark was proudly displayed by the team as they hope to be celebrating victory next month.
Mr Heappey said: “It is great to see Apex Park again nominated for national recognition. This is a fantastic community space, lovingly cared for by The Friends of Apex Park and our District Councillors. I hope everyone will vote for the park.”
You can vote for Apex Park via www.fieldsintrust.org/bestpark until this Friday (November 3) at 5pm.
Then, the top park in each of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be shortlisted before the winner is announced at the Fields in Trust Awards Ceremony at Lord's Cricket Ground on November 29.
