In my first column of 2023, I of course want to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope you all had a fantastic festive season.
My team have had some well-deserved time off over Christmas, so please just bear with us as we get back to everyone who has contacted us.
MPs return to Westminster on Monday, but that does not mean work has not been ongoing, particularly in the constituency and dentistry has been high on the priority list. Not only will I be meeting with Ministers to establish a clear plan, but also the ICB and local practice managers. This issue has been causing people a lot of discomfort and anxiety for far too long and we need to see improvements in accessibility as quickly as possible.
I will – of course – keep constituents informed as we move forward in to 2023. I think we are all hoping for some stability this year, with the Prime Minister’s priority being ensuring the economy can get on to a better footing. That is not to say these next 12 months will be easy, but there is hope that we can see improvements to the situation. That will be the focus for all of Government and I am looking forward to continuing to represent the great constituency of Wells and supporting our Armed Forces with my Ministerial role. Both jobs are such huge privileges every day.
