A spokesman for Crispin School said:
On 22 September 2016 as part of Crispin School’s programme of enrichment and challenge, James Heappey MP kindly agreed to take part in a Question and Answer session with a wide range of students. Students asked an extremely wide range of questions on topics ranging from Syria to Scottish independence; Owen Smith’s leadership challenge to the potential deployment of troops in Poland and Estonia; grammar schools to mental health policy. Mr Heappey answered all the questions directly and did not shrink from any tricky areas.
The conduct and questioning of the students was exemplary and Mr. Heappey dealt with everything fired at him with good humour and communicated with the students very much as equals. The session was really enjoyable and students got a great deal out of it.
We would like to thank Mr Heappey for his visit and look forward to welcoming him back to Crispin School in the future.
