Glastonbury MP James Heappey joined residents and campaigners in a final protest to mark the closing of the Lloyds Bank branch leaving the town without a bank.
Mr Heappey said: "This latest flash mob has again demonstrated the incredible depth of feeling. The High Street is thriving, but full of small businesses that need a local bank and with local tourist spots it is ridiculous it doesn't have a high street bank."
Mr Heappey said a credit union could be created but required £2million under management, meaning businesses and people must pledge to bank there. This would perform many of the functions of a local bank.
