It was clear that many in the community shared my concerns that the Solstice celebrations in Glastonbury would be let down by even more illegal encampments and anti-social behaviour.
I raised these concerns with the appropriate agencies last week and so it is with huge disappointment that it seems all of our fears have come to pass.
Glastonbury is a diverse, open, and tolerant community but those who refuse to live by the law are trying the patience of the vast majority of residents in the town.
When I meet with the Multi-Agency group on Friday, I will be demanding an even more robust approach.
