Street MP James Heappey took part in a walkaround and meeting with local village councillors to discuss the issues affecting the High Street and beyond.
Cllr Pam Birch and Cllr Terry Napper met with their local MP and voiced their concerns at the empty shops and buildings in the High Street.
Mr Heappey has been engaging with local stakeholders around this, and will provide an update to constituents when possible.
They also discussed plans to work together to bring improvements to the village through the work of local councils,
He said after the meeting: "It was extremely helpful to meet with Pam and Terry and hear about their priorities for the area, and how I can support them to deliver them.
"I look forward to continuing that hard work. Street is very lucky to have such committed councillors representing them."
