Wells MP James Heappey visited local business Burns the Bread to discuss the challenges which are being faced by small businesses and the steps they are taking to support workers.
Things which were discussed included rising energy costs, cost of living and the return to business following the pandemic.
Mr Heappey said: "Bob and his team have worked tirelessly on their brilliant business which has shops across the constituency.
"I know things have been challenging in recent months, but businesses such as this continue to be important to local people. I hope with the support for energy bills, they can continue to thrive providing fantastic pastries and breads amongst other amazing food.
"I will continue to support them going forward and thank them for their hospitality."
